The Flux Table Light emerged from Hunter Craighill’s drifting mind. The power was out, and he was flipping through an architecture book by candlelight, his eyes tracing the ancient forms on the page, the flicker of the flame, the candle’s dripping wax.
An idea for a table light began to take shape. He wanted to melt a candle directly on top of a column, to create a glowing beacon, a cue to his mind to go wander off and find something new.
The Flux Table Light is a totem to the happy accidents that appear when curiosity takes hold. It’s designed to help set the tone Hunter found while waiting out the storm – to create a calming space, free from distractions, where new ideas can freely weave together.
Long-time admirers of Gantri, we joined forces to bring Hunter’s vision to life. Gantri lamps are 3D printed from sustainable, plant-based polymers. We are honored to be a part of their expansive catalog of one-of-a-kind lamps.
